I started my first piece for the spec this semester on women and I thought it would be nice to wrap the semester up with my thoughts on women on a different issue. I believe the death of the last woman will be the end of the world.

People have also asked me about some of the guys who get on bwog and make silly comments or remarks on my articles. I haven't read most of the articles and do not have to because the idea behind opinion pieces is to have conversations or spark new thoughts and reactions etc. So that is really fine. As long as I am not attacked on the streets or anything like that for expressiong my opinions. Besides, I would rather have people respond and debate about some of the issues regardless of how off the point they are than not have any reactions at all.

It's a fact of life. People will not always like or believe in what you do regardless of how nice or right it might seem. It's certainly a freedom people should have, to like or not to like.

I mean some of the good people in the world have been oppressed and are still being oppressed for their belief in the power of good. I don't think I am an exception and I wdn't want to be an exception. I don't fear criticism and I don't hate opposition. When I am not learning much from criticism or opposition I got to my friends and mentors for scrutiny and evaluation. I would rather live in truth to myself and my community and have others be true to me than live in lies and fear. The worse kind of life in my opinion is a life lived in fear. I think life, these days costs too much to be wasted in anything but the truth and honesty.
